This past fall I was obsessed with the idea of the coatigan. I couldn't possibly fathom something more cozy and awesome than the marriage of two of the best forms of cold-weather apparel. Fall 2014 has something even better in store. What, you ask, could possibly be more comfy and warm than a coatigan? I introduce to you: the robe coat.
Some of the most famous designers out there, ranging from Tory Burch and Christian Siriano to Delpozo and Altuzarra have given us the gift of the robe coat. This is pretty much the socially acceptable, fashionable cousin of the snuggie and I'm crazy about it.
I'm sure lower end, more affordable brands will be adopting this trend come fall, but right now these robe coats will cost you a pretty penny. I've been yearning for the Delpozo version since I first saw it two weeks ago, but that runs a costly $6,375. I don't know about you, but as much as I love these designer versions of the robe coat, I'll wait for the affordable Zara or ASOS versions to come out.
